Stability in Mohanji’s Consciousness

October 18th, 2019

The sixth session of “Stability in Mohanji’s consciousness” was conducted on Friday, October 18th 2019 at Navachetana Trust -School for special children in Bangalore.

This session followed the dussehra holidays. I had conducted two sessions before the school closed for vacation. Every session brings out something new and interesting. I had organized the fourth session on September 6th. That morning I had woken up with the thought of one of the special kids and taking that as a sign, decided to conduct the session on the same day without postponement.

My sister Radha had accompanied me on all the previous three sessions. I called her up and found out that she was busy with other plans that day. I decided to go ahead alone since the inner signal was strong. Much to my delight, as I entered the school that morning, a boy greeted me with a beaming smile. His eyes scanned around as if looking for someone along with me. As we went in, another child explicitly asked me, “Akka bhandilva” (Has your sister not come today?). I was touched by their recollection given their disposition.

img1

When she joined me during session 5, the kids welcomed her warmly and even reserved a space for her to sit next to them. Little gestures such as these, which we take for granted usually, add so much beauty to life and also reinforces that the best things in life are free! Blessings are bestowed upon us every second by the universe in subtle ways. We only need to be mindful, conscious and aware of them. During those two sessions, we recited bhajans and conducted the Freedom meditation followed by the Gurupaduka stotram.

Our most recent session last Friday started with bhajans followed by Freedom meditation given by Mohanji, as always.

The previous week, I had experienced shoulder cramps. Nagging pain in my right shoulder, the reason for which I couldn’t pinpoint. There were bursts of pain throughout the day that caused extreme discomfort and did not allow me to perform my regular activities. The pain acted as a reminder to me of those who need Mohanji and the healing process. I was also reminded of what Mohanji had once said to a person who had met him,

“There’s no use of acquiring something that has to be parked. It will only gather dust.” – Mohanji

Although I had become eligible to give Mohanji Energy Transfer (MET), I had not yet been applying it in my sessions. I was not rushing because I wanted to get familiar with the kids before opening them up to MET. This time, however, I was contemplating on doing the MET for the first time. Maybe it was the personal experiences of the prior week that acted as a reminder to initiate it, one wonders?

img3

As I started the process, I prayed to our Guru and the Gods silently. The first batch was the younger group. I could feel the energy flow and connected to Mohanji as I handled the different children. Most of them received it well but some resisted even as I placed my thumb on their forehead. I did not push them because they probably needed more time to be ready for it. During the session for the older group, I was able to perform MET to most of them. After the MET session, there was so much joy and gratitude in their faces that revealed all that they wanted to say.

Each time I conduct these sessions, I leave the school with a feeling of satisfaction and a deep sense of gratitude that through these sessions, I can provide a few hours of peace and calm in their otherwise challenging days. I am certain that Mohanji’s blessings would bring stability & light into their lives and I pray that the Guru Mandala continues to make me an instrument in this process.

When the heart expands with love, heaven descends into us. – Mohanji

Bliss at an Old Age Home

pic7

By Mohanji Acharyas Arpana Nazre and Sathya Shivakumar

October 19th 2019

We conducted a blissful Acharya program at Asha Jeevan Old Age Home Trust, in Bangalore. We had around 40 elderly who came for the program; some walked in, some were brought in wheelchairs. What amazed us was their enthusiasm to sit through the whole program though it was difficult to sit at a stretch since many of them were old.

We started with Power of Purity meditation and then sharing of experiences, followed by bhajans led by Acharya Sathya Shivakumar. There was another group of people who had come to donate to the home following the expiry of their mother. It was the 12th day after her death. They too requested to sit for the meditations and eagerly followed each instruction during the meditation. Many of them were first-timers, but they said that they felt very peaceful and happy after the meditation. The nursing staff and the caretakers also participated and the response was very good. They have requested us to conduct the meditations more often.

Another incident worth sharing was when giving MET to one person. He had severe shivering of his hands and head but during MET, his shivering stopped completely and he was quite stable. Mohanji’s energy flow was quite evident.

The caretakers of Asha Jeevan thanked us and also requested us to conduct POP more often. Some of them also sang bhajans they knew and the rest of us joined along. Last but not least, another inmate was asked to give a vote of thanks to us, and she very happily conveyed her gratitude with a small speech. We finally left feeling blissed and happy ourselves after interacting with these angels of love.

One day in Mohanji’s Consciousness

AC2

by Mohanji Acharya Devadas A C

19th October 2019

A Mohanji Acharya program titled ‘One day in Mohanji’s Consciousness’ was  conducted at Mr Balakrishna’s house, in Palakkad, Kerala.

Mr Balakrishnan has constructed a temple inside his house. It is a very powerful temple filled with divine energy. Mohanji likes to visit this temple when time permits, during his Kerala visit. Goddess Bhadrakali is in her full power decked with all her ornaments in this temple.

We started the program with pada pooja. Mr Balakrishnan did the pada pooja along with adhanga pooja. Then it was time for the Goddess’s aarati.

AC3
Pada Pooja

The Power of Purity meditation was conducted after the aarati. 19 people participated in this meditation during which MET was done. There were 3 new participants. They felt that this meditation was very good and powerful.

Everyone participated with utmost devotion in Mohanji Aarati (at noon) after the meditation. We then read one chapter from the Power of Purity book.

Lunch was provided by Mr Balakrishnan with various tasty dishes and a sweet (Payasam). As there were no participants for the Mai-tri  method, we moved onto chanting Mohanji Gayatri and singing bhajans. Anila, Anitha and Savithri sang poems written by our beloved Biju Cherukunnam. We also listened to some of the kirtans sung by Mohanji Acharya Sathya Shivakumar and team. We concluded the blissful day at 3.45 pm after distributing prasad.

My sincere thanks to beloved Balettan for providing his house for the Acharya Program.

Bloom – A program for personal development skills

By Mohanji Acharya Rekha Murali

10th October and 14th October 2019

A program titled ‘bloom’ was conducted by Mohanji Acharya Rekha Murali for the first year under-graduate students of  JBAS college for women in Chennai, India. The focus of the program was to equip students from various departments of the college with academic and personal development skills.  Our Mohanji family member, Sudeshna Ganguly assisted he students enthusiastically.

The program was conducted in two sessions – one for the morning batch on the 10th and  the other for the evening batch of students on 14th October.  A total of 80 students benefited from this program. The aim of the personal development program was to bring awareness among the students on self-acceptance and love.

The program commenced with discussion of personal aspects that hampered their progress as students. This included fears, anxiety, family/peer pressure, and stress.  The art of letting go and accepting the strengths and weaknesses of self and others were discussed. Most of the students were from diverse backgrounds with many of them being first generation learners.

The young 18-year old women were taught some breathing  exercises such as watching their breath, deep breathing  etc. Some techniques to drop bad habits and painful memories were also shared.  With gentle, silent  breathing exercises, the students were led into the Blossoms of love meditation. The atmosphere changed from one of restlessness to peace and calmness.  All of them were meditating for the first time.

At the end of the program, few girls shared that they felt peaceful and quiet within. A couple of them went into a no-thought stage where all their problems seemed to have vanished during the meditation. Each and every student present liked the meditation session and were grateful for the exposure.

Here are some pictures of their feedback:

Translation of the above two pictures that are in Tamil:

“This talk was very good. I did meditation for the first time. It was good.”

“All that you shared were useful. I understood it well. I will follow all that you told me.”

Heartfelt gratitude to Mohanji  for making the group cohesive and effective as the group of students were from different religious backgrounds and had never attended a meditation session before!

Playful Yoga

by Mohanji Acharya Stasa Misic

The first program of ‘Playful Yoga’ in Montenegro, was held at the ‘Yoga Studio’ in Podgorica, on Saturday, 5th October 2019.

The program was conducted by Stasa Misic, a Mohanji Acharya. It started with an explanation and chanting of the sound AUM along with breathing exercises. Yoga asanas and yoga nidra for children followed. The first part of the program was completed with the Freedom meditation which helped the children release their fears and feel free. Throughout the entire program, the emphasis was given to keeping the spine, the pillar and support of our life, erect during our daily activities. Therefore, their attention was focused on the spine at all times.

With gratitude for the food, children ate some fresh fruits.

During the second part of the program, they listened to a moral story called ‘Keep the Lamp Burning’ about two saints who lived in the Himalayas, which Mohanji narrated in one of his retreats. Listening to this story, children could comprehend the importance of keeping the inner space clean and pure, not only for us but for the world that surrounds us.

Accepting and finding yourself in Mohanji’s Consciousness

By Mohanji Acharyas Monika Balenović and Staša Mišić

5th and 6th October 2019

The two-day programme “Accepting and Finding Yourself” was held on Saturday and Sunday in Podgorica, Montenegro.

The first day started with light yoga exercises, followed by Yoga Nidra and relaxation, during which the participants focused on increasing their awareness through the seven energy centres (chakras).

CG drugi dan (7).JPG

Next was the ‘Power of Purity’ mediation, which, with the help of the Master, removes our internal blockages through forgiveness, blessing and gratitude. We opened our hearts and ended up talking about whether and how much free will we really have, what it is that we can change, how important acceptance is, and what are the methods that can help us accept ourselves completely. All the participants had an urge to share their deep and painful life experiences and to release many burdens that had troubled them for years.

The second day started with ‘Conscious Dancing’. This technique helped the participants increase the awareness of their body, to see themselves in a brand new light and to release all the blockages in their energy centres (chakras) through the beauty and freedom of movement. Then, they dived into the wonderful meditation ‘Bliss of Silence’, during which many internal blockages on all levels were released. Through the meditation, the participants were also able to feel the inner silence and settle within their own selves – in their true nature.

CG drugi dan (6)

Focusing on the heart center, deep gratitude was awakened and everyone felt united with their very essence – love. The gathering continued with the participants sharing their experiences of how Mohanji entered their lives which triggered a huge internal transformation and helped them know themselves.

Over these two days, the participants took a step closer to themselves and carried with them a message to embrace non-violence at all levels (in thoughts, words and actions), understood the joy of selfless giving, unconditional love, and accepting oneself, which also represent the pillars of Mohanji’s teaching.

Thank you Mohanji and thanks to the participants from the bottom of our hearts!

A step towards Freedom

by Mohanji Acharya Rekha Murali

8th October 2019

On the auspicious day of Vijayadasami, an hour long program on chanting, reciting slokas and meditation was conducted in Chennai, India, for students in the age group of 5 to 13 years with Mohanji’s grace. It was also the day of Shirdi Sai Baba’s Mahasamadhi. All of them were my students and hence were familiar with each other. It was a small cohesive group of 8 children and two mothers, one of whom was Sudeshna Ganguly from our M family. She participated and assisted with the program.

After the initial introductions, the program commenced with stories of the Navratri festival being celebrated then. It was an interactive and lively session where children enthusiastically shared their knowledge of the festivities. The students were then led into a discussion to understand that the celebrations depict the victory of good over evil. The children shared some of the negative qualities within them that could be changed to improve themselves.

This was followed by exercises on watching the breath and chanting of Om. The initial restlessness and excitement of being together disappeared with this chanting. They were calm and ready for the next part of the program which was reciting slokas. Slokas on Ganesha, Saraswathi, Guru and Gayatri were taught. Each child was given a copy of the slokas.

pic 4

To prepare for the freedom meditation that was to follow, mild stretches were done. The meditation commenced with the chanting of Om and the children easily slipped into meditation. At the end of the meditation, they were unanimous in their appreciation of the meditation as they were all doing it for the first time.

Here are some of the experiences of the children:

Visvesh (13 years old): “I am in a limitless plain white background and I feel hollow and transparent on the inside.”

Varun (5 years old): “There was snow and I was skating on ice.”

Sahana (6 years old): “I felt weird as I was flying like a bird.”

Shrestha (8 years old): “Free and pleasant”

Nishthaa (12 years old): “Peace”

Sanjay (10 years old): “I felt as if I was flying in the sky with nobody around, with unlimited space above.”

Sangeetha (a parent): “It was a lovely feeling. Meditation is always about knowing more of our inner self in that elevated state. Especially with the little children, their combined energy that evening gave a fabulous feeling. Thank you for the opportunity, Rekha, looking forward to more experiences like this.”

With this pleasant feeling, we wrapped up our program with hugs, chocolates and small gifts for the students.

Powerful vibrations and Mohanji’s energy was strongly felt during the program. The way the children quietened down after the initial excitement was proof in itself. Thank you Mohanji! I have tried to conduct this program for the last three years and it was only this year that I could get 8 children to participate. This is again ample proof that it cannot happen without Mohanji’s grace.

Palakkad in Mohanji’s Consciousness

By Mohanji Acharya Devadas AC

28th September 2019

A blissful program was conducted at Mohanji Palakkad centre in Kerala. The program started with Adhanga/Pada Pooja (An Indian tradition worshipping the guru’s feet). Immediately after that, the participants were led into a powerful ‘Power of Purity’ meditation with Mohanji Energy Transfer.

During the satsang (friendly discourse) and experience sharing, I shared experiences of my journey with Mohanji. I shared how Mohanji protects every devotee during difficult situations and the kindness with which he treats all his devoted followers.

Next in the program was reading a passage from the ‘Power of Purity’ book with a discussion on the topic. I read one topic ‘Human Conditions’ from the book and the participants shared their understanding and opinions on it.

The participants did Mohanji aarati at 6 pm to conclude the beautiful program and distributed prasad (food offered to the deities).

Our sincere thanks to all the participants for attending the program and immense gratitude to Mohanji for his grace and blessings.

The Mysteries of Tibet in Mohanji’s Consciousness

Mansarovar

By Mohanji Acharya Barbara Dizdarevic

21st September 2019

On Saturday, a small group of people was led through the journey to Kailash with Mohanji.

While some could not physically join the trip this year, it was ensured they experience a glimpse of the majesty of Kailash, by guiding them day by day through the most significant points of this pilgrimage – dips at Lake Mansarovar, first glance and surrender to Mt Kailash, ‘leaving the past’ at Yamadwar, meditating at Gauri Kund and so on.

Miraculous experiences that happened with the grace of Mohanji and Mt Kailash were also shared, leaving all the participants with the excitement of a visit to Kailash with Mohanji in the years ahead.

For a full experience, Tibetan tea was served, along with sweets (prasad) energised during the ceremonies at Lake Mansarovar, and a sip of water from Lake Mansarovar.
In the end, everybody received a stone which I picked up during the pilgrimage around Mount Kailash.
